We love these horses, and everything here follows from that.
A family-built barn on soft, cared-for ground, where every horse is known by name and has room simply to be a horse.
Thoughtful boarding centered on the right fit.

By Appointment Only
Caring for a horse well is a hundred small, gentle things, done every day.
It is knowing who has finished breakfast and who has not. It is noticing the quiet horse, changing the plan when the weather changes, and keeping the ground in good condition because hooves live on it every day.
That is the work here: practical, attentive and personal.
Known by name, noticed every day
Every horse here is checked each day. If something does not seem right, we contact you so it can be addressed.
Hay available around the clock
Horse-safe hay huts protect netted round bales in the all-weather lots, helping keep hay available throughout the day and night.
Clean, comfortable stalls
Twelve-by-twelve stalls with large windows, bedded on shavings, each one a horse’s own. Stalls are cleaned daily and more often when a horse needs it. On Sundays each owner cleans their own horse’s stall, which gives our people one day back.
Out with their friends, and it changes with the season
Every day that conditions allow, with mares and geldings in separate settled groups. Daytime turnout through winter; overnight through summer and autumn.
Fields and footing cared for too
Pastures rotated, overseeded and fertilized, arena footing kept soft, trails cleared. Every field has an automatic waterer.
You will always know how your horse is
Vet and farrier visits, schedule changes and weather calls are all shared. We would rather over-tell you than leave you wondering.
Room for horses to feel at home.
With fifteen stalls, an attached indoor arena, and generous green space, Legacy Ranch offers horses a comfortable place to settle in and riders room to enjoy their time together.
Why the name Legacy Ranch matters
For years our horses lived at other people’s barns. We spent a long time looking for the right one, and after many tries we did something else instead: we bought a house with land and built our own.
The aisleway, the arena, the fencing, the fields — all of it built the way we wanted it. We started with our own horses, and we still run it the same way.
Legacy Ranch grew from a family history rooted in farm life and a shared desire to carry that legacy forward. What was built here is more than a barn. It is a home, a working equestrian environment and a place shaped by years of looking after horses.
“Fun, organized, peaceful.” — how the family describes it
Built with the horses in mind.
Fifteen stalls, twelve by twelve, with large windows and fans. Each stall is a horse’s own, opening onto a wide aisleway with cross-ties.
Attached, sixty by a hundred and twenty, with limestone sand footing. It provides a place to ride throughout the year.
Cross-ties in the aisleway and a hot-and-cold wash rack.
One room, insulated and air-conditioned, with assigned storage for every horse.
Rotated, overseeded pasture and all-weather lots, with an automatic waterer in every field.
Trails on the property, open seasonally and when the ground is dry.
Gravel parking beside the barn, with a limited number of trailer spaces.
A look around home.
Real photographs of the barn, the fields and the horses, through the seasons. Nothing borrowed, nothing staged.
The things people ask us first.
Answers to common questions about care, visits, and life at Legacy Ranch are provided here.
We are not, and we are sorry to disappoint anyone hoping for a visit. Legacy Ranch is a private boarding facility and it is also our family home.
That means no pony rides, no birthday parties, no camps, no horse rentals, no public lessons and no drop-in visits. Legacy Ranch is not accepting new boarding inquiries at this time.
Legacy Ranch offers Full Care and Partial Care.
Under Full Care, Legacy Ranch provides hay and grain, with grain fed twice daily. Horses have access to hay throughout the day and night, including netted round bales protected by horse-safe hay huts in the all-weather lots. Legacy Ranch cleans Full Care stalls Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, each owner cleans their horse’s stall and water bucket. Under Partial Care, owners provide their horse’s hay, grain, and bedding, including enough hay for the agreed around-the-clock hay arrangement. Legacy Ranch handles the morning feeding. Partial Care owners are responsible for cleaning their horse’s stall each day.

Every day that conditions allow, and it changes with the season: daytime turnout through the winter, overnight turnout through summer and autumn.
Horses are turned out in groups, with mares and geldings kept separate. We do not offer individual turnout.
Someone who knows horses and is responsible — who can genuinely provide for their horse, and who communicates well.
We are a small place. The mix of people matters as much as the mix of horses.
A small barn, and a careful one.
Legacy Ranch is our home, and the horses and people already here depend on its peace and familiar routines. We are not trying to fill every stall. We are looking for horses and owners who will be genuinely happy here.
